Logos for the fair.
There's always a thrill to go to a certain computer fair when it comes around in the city that time around in the year. Well, it wasn't too bad today (since we went there on a work day and not the weekend) which won't be as crowded. But hey, it's Jakarta people... I was pretty surprised about the number of people that were milling about. It was enough to look like it was crowded.

The other reason why it's crowded on a normal day was because there's three events at once in the same large building which is the Jakarta Convention Center. First the computer fair, second there's a gaming fair, and third a photography fair.

A digital freak's dream. Gotta love it. Minus the crowd.

There were plenty of major dealers there, Acer, Fujitsu, Zyrex (local), Dell, Intel, Sony... I was looking around for Samsung and was left disappointed - no stand at all. Damn. :/ Initially that was the stand I was looking for to see the Samsung Galaxy Tab Ace, but I suppose they were probably recounting their range prices because of the new products...

So instead I ended up window shopping, just looking around for prices since my adopted big bro (more of he adopted me into his sister) is looking for a laptop. My dad bought himself a 500GB external hard disk which was the Spectral that's from Toshiba. Looks fancy and it's slim.

My dad's external drive.

Since we were in a hurry, we ended up taking a take away 'Monster Burger' that was at a promotional price at IDR 15,000. Lacked the vegies in it, but all the same it compensated with it's large size (about a size of a Jr. Whopper for Burger King). It was just for something in the car, as we soon faced the traffic rush of people coming home from work.

Oh, if you're wondering how much people you can get in one city... Jakarta has about 16 million (during the day) with the local people staying at 8 million (the rest are commuters). It's funny when you compare the statistics of Jakarta is one city, and you have the same population as one country like Madagascar. It's one big melting pot.

That's what happened today...

Later,
