Well... the TF gathering's been done.

I got to say it was one heck a experience. =D

So basically the main thing we did was watch Transformers: Prime, which the new prime time animated series that is a mix of the Transformers movie and Transformers Animated. By most fans, it's been dubbed as 'BayFormers Animated'. Most fans were diappointed they couldn't think of anything else and the graphics look awkward but hey, what matters is the story.

Yet another war for these bots...
The story is dark and somewhat questionable to be seen by little kids. Even so, it's enjoyable as there some plot twists here and there. Recently it's gotten repetitive, but well... it's only 10 episodes so far. I'm not doing the real complaining yet. The only thing I would complain about was that one character looked so awesome and everything in the comics... was killed early in the very first episode. Then the character gets zombie-fied.

It makes you think... why can't the bot just die in peace and get along with it? Dx  I guess the story thought of the opposite...

Back to the gathering...

Ok, so I didn't get my OP revo yet since Nerovolipi couldn't make it to the gathering. However, I've gotten an email from him yesterday that the seller mistook OP for Ultra Magnus (he's a white version of OP) which I'm not surprised at. So, I'll just have to wait until he finds another revoltech of the real and red OP.
Gathering with the guys.
As for the whole crew that came (which was probably only like a 1/4 of the original people behind it). It was okay to get to know them. What probably took me by surprise was the passion these guys had in obtaining the toys as if they were a need
Still you get what they're thinking once you try it out (as in trying the toys out that transform and back). If you're a detail freak, then you'd like it.
On second thought, it's like how girls can go crazy with bags and shoes and just go shop-a-holic. Now, picture that and just substitute it for TF toys... and that's what you get. Say... spending Rp.800.000 per toy is no matter for them. But that's what collectors are about. It's about getting the whole set or certain types. Kind of like how some girls go for casual and chic clothes while others go for the lady-like look.
So... what's so good about these toys we're talking about? It's Transformers, hence, the transformation. I was very suprised just how much detail they put in for toys. A couple of the joints and hidden folds of a Transformer is enough to surprise you, even it the level is on 'easy'. I tried a medium on and it took me like an hour to figure it out (that was because I was sort of nervous I'd brake it if I turned a certain part to the wrong angle). Still I had to admit it was really fun. =)

Personally, I'd probably want a few of them; but I wouldn't think of them as a need yet. I like doing the photography than actually owning them. I guess that's because you can call me a pose able freak. It's really fun to see them transform, but since you can't do much with on camera is a little bit of a let down. Especially when they can't stand up straight.

Transfomers toys for me? Yes, unless they're revoltechs. I'm just not that crazy into Transformations, but seeing and touching the real toy is more than enough for me. :D

There are more photos below.

Hope you enjoyed this post. :)
